Thank you for directly supporting local, sustainable agriculture.
Muddy Feet Farm is a beyond organic, no-till, vegetable farm that offers both traditional and Ayurvedic CSA shares. The farm was founded in 2013 and is located on the property of Big Stone Mini Golf and Sculpture Garden in Minnetrista. From seed to harvest, our vegetables are grown with love. We use absolutely no chemicals; just sunshine, water, compost and love. We are what we eat which is why we grow only the highest quality, nourishing vegetables for you and your family.
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a great way for people to connect with and support local farms. Individuals become CSA members by purchasing a share of the farm. In return, shareholders receive a weekly box of seasonal produce. CSA members understand that weather, pests, and disease cause uncertainty on the farm and are committed to supporting the farm by being flexible with the variability of produce*.
Muddy Feet Farm offers a monthly subscription plan. Members sign up at the beginning of each month to receive four to five veggie boxes per month (one box per week). Monthly shares give flexibility to members by allowing them to try it out, change sizes if necessary, or cancel if it isn't a good fit.
*Muddy Feet Farm strives to produce a variety of high quality vegetables. Because we do not use pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers, the produce may not always look "grocery-store-perfect" and may vary in appearance. However, we carefully hand pick our vegetables to assure that each box meets our standard of beautiful, nourishing vegetables.
Our pricing reflects the time, energy, and consciousness placed in our farming practices. We are fully transparent in our practices and are happy to share with you where each dollar goes.
* We offer Flexible Pricing, which means our members can adjust our CSA prices to accommodate their budget. This is a system based on trust and honesty, values by which we run our business. We believe that fresh, local food should be accessible to everyone, no questions asked. Contact us to get started with this option.
The Ayurveda CSA Share consists of 4-6 types of vegetables each week, in a quantity that will accommodate one adult that eats/cooks vegetables regularly. This may be enough vegetables for 2, depending on how vegetables are used in meals and how regularly each individual eats vegetables. The Ayurveda share will focus on sattvic foods (foods that bring balance and harmony to the mind, body and spirit) and therefore will also limit the amount of pungent foods offered such as mustard greens and radishes.
The Traditional CSA Share consists of 4-6 types of vegetables each week, in a quantity that will accommodate one adult that eats/cooks vegetables regularly. This may be enough vegetables for 2, depending on how vegetables are used in meals and how regularly each individual eats vegetables. The Traditional share includes nightshades (tomatoes, potatoes, peppers), onions, garlic (when/if available), and spicy vegetables such as mustard greens and radishes.
By purchasing the full 18 week season (June-October) you'll receive $50 off the total cost of the Traditional Share or $36 off the total cost of the Ayurveda share.
